Major Accomplishments

  • Put in grass infield, sprinkler system, warning tracks, and bullpen areas on Diamond #1
  • Established new park sign
  • Poured concrete pads for bleachers; extended concrete aprons around main concession stand
  • Installed sprinkler system Diamond #2, #3, #4, and #5
  • Built concession stand on West end of park with handicapped accessible bathrooms
  • Installed field lighting for the 4 diamond complex (#2 – #5)
  • Constructed new pavilion at East end of park
  • Built 1/2 mile walking trail around park
  • Improved water drainage problems all around park with major regrading effort.
  • Constructed the Brick Paver Plaza which was created as a grand entrance to the Walking Trail.
  • Added new ball diamond – Diamond #6
  • Landscaped front of Municipal Pool
  • Added a small pavilion between playground and pool
  • Replaced concrete at pool in preparation for new shade structure
  • Planted new trees in park. Over 50 trees to date (2019)
  • Regraded Diamond #2
  • Revamped Little Playground Equipment and added more benches
  • Renovated park bathrooms
  • Created a concrete walking path to restrooms from the main pavilions
  • Worked with Park Board to assemble picnic tables and install new playground equipment
  • Assist Garden Club in spring with mulching and help keep park clean
  • Provided labor to improve existing park pavilion with new concrete aprons and drainage system
  • Help fund Diamond #1 infield restoration project
  • Provided labor to install sidewalks for improved access to pavilions
  • Support for Diamond #3 renovation project
  • Installed new batting cage between Diamonds #2 & #3
  • Provided labor to enlarge dugouts(concrete) on diamond #1
  • Added drainage tile between diamonds #3 & #4
  • Built shade structure at pool concession area
  • Poured concrete pads under bleachers on D3 & D6
  • Replaced fencing for Garden Club
  • Helped fund Eagle Scout project of new basketball court.
  • New picnic tables on new concrete pads throughout the park.
  • Purchased new welcome sign for the Trenton Municipal Pool.
  • Added small playground by pavilions for small children.
  • Yearly $500 scholarship award.
  • Facilitate the purchase of new dedication park benches throughout the park (ongoing).
  • Memorial pavers available for Paver Plaza (ongoing)
